Got hit on the freeway today....>8^(
Well, guess who got rear ended on the 101 Fwy. today. I have been in Pasadena the last couple days doing a photo shoot for work. Tonight on the way home, my lane on the 101 came to a complete stop. It seemed as though someone may have stalled. I can't be sure since my view was blocked by the minivan in front of me.
After waiting for a minute or two, I turned on my signal and started to change lanes. The guy behind me also hit his signal and we changed lanes at the same time. The lady in the minivan then decided she would change lanes. I had to stop to let her over and avoid hitting her. The guy behind me however wasn't paying close enough attention and ran into me. The damage isn't severe, but it's still a bummer.
The other driver pulled over right away and we exchanged information. With my AAA insurance I can fix my car ASAP and they will bill his insurance for the repairs. AAA has also referred me to a repair shop near my house. My mom had to have her Cadillac fixed earlier this year and used this same shop. They did a good job on her car.
I'm thinking about ordering my new fiberglass spoiler. As long as they have to paint the rear of the car, I might as well get the spoiler done.

Oh no! Sorry to hear that Bret, luckily you'll be getting it fixed quick. That is my biggest fear of LA traffic (not only with my SS, but my Z28 as well and any cars). Pisses me off.

I am really sorry about that. I have been hit before and know that it sucks to go through the insurance system. Hope the best and quickest repair for you.
I'm sorry you got hit, but I'm glad it is minor. When I first opened this thread, I was afraid we would have another third gen totaled and being parted out. We have had too many of those lately.

While I'm bummed about my car being hit, the upside is that the tailights didn't get damaged, no one was injured, and the guy who hit me has so far been very cool and co-operative.
That sucks man.. I hate the freeway because you're at the mercy of the general public, which are mostly terrible drivers. You know the kind that always weaves into your lane while not paying attention, doesn't signal, cuts you off purposely or otherwise, and speeds up to get infront of you just to then slow down. Oh yeah, traffic sucks too. 10/110/5/91=yuck. Haven't been on the 101 in a while.
good thing
It was a minor and you or him did not get hurt, and every thing will go smooth b/c you did every thing correct, And it is good you have a shop that you trust that will do good work and blending. Just be sure they get that F-body line back the way it should be. And yeah get your spoiler because they can't fix that bumper! It is damaged to much, and you know what will happen in the future if they do fix that rear bumper! spoiler etc. Traffic is highly packed right now! be alert and stay safe. Wish you the best with your car, I know it still hurts b/c the car will never be the same, But shops are pro's they will fix that with out filling it with a ton of bondo and etc. I hit my car on a pole and it did lil damage and it dented the end a liltle and Jass Auto body was able to give me good quality paint for a good price, they did a lot of work to my car for so liltle money, and they got my f-body line perfect. For the future of a paint job on my car myself would take my car to Jass when I can afford to have the car repainted. For now the car can wait a paint job.

Sorry to hear that. That is something that I worry about everyday cause I commute from Walnut to Woodland Hills everyday and I hate the 101 fwy. I cringe everytime I hear tires screeching behind me, people just dont pay attention anymore when they are driving. At least the damage is minor and you did not get hurt.
