Baker Precision?....
Are these guys reliable?
I ordered some new rod ends from them a week ago via their web site. I got a confirmation that my order was received.
Estimated shipping is only 1 day since it's local. I emailed them last night regarding shipping status per their instructions from the order confirmation. No reply so far today.
Are these guys flakey? I mean come on, over a week to ship 3 simple rod ends? At this point, I could have gone to Summit, saved money and had the parts in 2 - 3 days.

They are by my work in LB. They are a pretty small shop and bassically only really stock FK rod ends. Although they list aurora and NHBB, they don't stock many of their products.

Okay. So far no reply to my e-mail. I went to their web site and this is what it says right on the home page:
No One Has A Larger Inventory !!! - "Over $2 Million In Stock"
and.....
Rod Ends and Spherical Bearings From Aurora, NHBB / NMB and FK - No one has more in stock, for immediate delivery, for any application, from Sprint Cars to Hondas to Indy Cars !!!
Their customer service seems a little lax.

When I got the rod-ends for my T/A and Baer bumpsteer kit I requested Aurora bearings but they told me they didn't have them in the sizes I needed, which are pretty standard sizes IIRC, and that they have problems getting product from NHBB and aurora. Could be BS and they just get better pricing on the FK rod ends.

I'm still drivin' on my original Spohn rod ends, which are now more than 3 years old. Topanga Canyon and PCH have some rough sections and I can hear the rear suspension making noise. I also have an annoying "shimmy" in the rear and I need to crawl under the car and change the rod ends.
I do have a replacement set of Spohn greaseable rod ends, but these are the junk ones Steve used to use. He now promotes that he uses QA1 rod ends and that he had to increase his prices slightly to cover the higher quality ends.
Summitt has 3 piece chromoly rod ends for $39 each. I would have had these in 2 to 3 days.

Anytime I have ordered Aurora rodends, it takes aprox 1 month to get them. They are not bought often enough to stock for replacement (they last long) so the vendors will often wait for a few orders together before placing one good size order to the distributor.

I finally got in touch with Baker Precision thru their 800 number. My rod ends shipped on the 12th which means I should have them sitting on my doorstep today!
