Check the events board at SC3G.org. We are planning a mountain cruise and BarBQ to Big Bear Lake on Sept 17. We'd be glad to get the chance to meet you. Welcome back.

Kevin does custom chips for TBI's as well as TPI systems. He and Don will be on the mountain cruise.

My L98 is faster than a couple stock LS1's, but that doesnt make it better. Of course your modded L05 is faster than a stock or so L98...

Remember once you get into the 13's you'll need a 6-point rollbar in that convertible, or the drag strip will kick you out.

Good luck with your project. Give me a call if you need a chip burned for your combo.

Thanks, i really appreciate it. My LO5 is pretty much stock, no work done to it yet, but im sure the L98's i raced were out of tune and needed help too... all my stuff has less than 20k on it... When i get the 083's, the LT1 cam and Long Tubes on it, i will most definately be needing your help tuning. Im shooting christmas time until its all said and completed because i still need the heads machined and i dont know anyone who will do it for me and i dont have the tools or the time, so it looks like im taking them to a machinist. I dont know how much money or time it will take to get them ported, polished, valve guides... all that, but when i do, im hoping for low 14's, high 13's

oh, i know, by no means is TBI better than TPI, but i just want to max out the potential of the setup i have before changing it... when i cant really mess around with the TBI anymore, ill change it over to TPI. Ive seen TPI combos with over 500 horses... ive never seen an NA TBI SBC make that much... haha. but for now, if it aint broke, im not gunna fix it...

and im pretty sure i wont succeed out here... it seems like i have a lot more competition... out there we had stock L98's or CaptPicards and AZ406TPI... both with 400 or more RWHP 406 SBC's... AZ's is still TPI, but Capt switched his over to carb not too long ago..

Don's headers aren't stainless, but they are a better design than the SLP's. He repositioned the tubes in the left side collector so that you no longer need to decide whether you want headers or steering with his you can actually have both!

Maybe not. He may have a bunch made up that can be sent to the powder coater. If he doesn't, he can possibly make up a set to send out. I doubt that he is going to ask someone to wait in line behind someone who is getting a car built to get a set of headers built.

Don, I'm not in a hurry for my pick up, but if people are getting cars built and then jumping back in line to do it over again, maybe I need to get in line with my truck?
