Im thinking of buying everything i need to install a rear sway bar on the berly, im just wondering if the one you stock (23mm?)would be the bar that should get. I'm not sure what size front swaybar i have (dont have the tool to measure it).
I posted over in the Suspension board to see if anybody knew the size of the v6 front swaybars, but i had no response (even searded for it.. although the search seemed to turn up more v8 info then v6
)
Thanks for any help!
edit: BTW.. I am going to at least get the wonderbar from you

23mm rear will match with a 34mm hollow front bar. Yours is smaller. I should have a red 24mm rear bar in stock which matches with a 36mm front. I'll check stock and let you know.

You won't need as big a sway bar as the v8 cars. The six is much lighter than the v8 engines, and the large sway bars are to control the understeer induced by the weight of the engine over the front. If you go too big with the sway bars, you could make your v6 very "tail happy."
Im upgrading the car's suspension, so that i can start getting into the AutoX scene, decided on getting the 34mm front swaybar that Lon stocks, his greaseable fittings for both front and rear, the wonderbar, and everything i need to install the rear swaybar, and the 23mm rear sway bar, i might as well get the 1le endlink kit for the rear as well (needed?)

When you get a chance check if your car has ANY sway bar already. Just look under the rear of the car and see if there is a bar under the differential. If no sway bar is present, then you'll also need the sway bar mounting brackets. I have those on my web site also.

You can run a larger rear swaybar in proportion to the front with a V6 car as opposed to a V8. A heavier nosed V8 car will sway harder with the heavier front engine weight and the rear stiff bar will lift the inside wheel. The nose of a V6 is lighter so the rear can handle a stiffer bar.
A great combo for a stock spring V6 without SFC's is a 34mm solid front and a 25mm solid rear bar combo. With SFC's then go 34mm front, 23mm rear.
planning on SFC's next year, so it would be cheeper to get the 23mm rear's now, unless it will drasticly effect the performace of the car (as in worse, not better)

23mm would be a good choice. You are only going to tell the difference between the two in extreme limit cases and most likely the rest of the car will need attention far before this point is reached (rubber bushings, shocks, tires, stamped metal componants, etc.)
I run a 34mm solid and 25mm soild with SFC's but I also have the rear roll center lowered and custom spring choices, etc. the car is fairly extreme for a street car. There is not much that hasn't been changed- by now you probably can assume who I am

Fact is, had I not popped in here and read the responses to you, you may have easily spent your money on something too small from the wrong info presented. Its why I make friends so easily around here when I ppop in and correct mis info- but people need to not respond unless they can give acurrate info to people asking.Originally posted by One2Beat
