Who's ready?
Alright guys, the Z28 will be ready for paint by the end of June. I know a few of you were considering cruising down to Mexico together to the guy across the border. Who's up for it?
Also, how do I contact him?

I want to make the trip South soon. I'm just need for my gas tank/rear end swap to take place before then. This means I'm waiting on Don to have an open slot in his schedule.

Also Lon, I've been meaning to ask you... My doors are either slightly misaligned sagging, don't know which. From what I've been hearing if they were sagging they would move up and down loosely with the door open if I lift up on them- is this correct? Mine can't move up and down but the gap at the upper front of the door under the mirror on both sides is larger than normal and the bottoms the doors slightly rub the fender when I open them. Would I need to get one of the sagging door kits or would they be able to be re-aligned? These are the only gaps on the car that are off.
Thanks!

If you have no movement when you lift the bottom of the opened door, then yes the EZ Store door alignment tool will solve your door rubbing problem.
Yes the future "racer" is next to get paint. However, I've just been reminded that I first need to repair the drivers-side door hinge. Of course in my case the lower hinge requires more than just a lower pin and bushing replacement because the prior owner did a jerry-rigged repair of the door detent roller bar. I'll need to buy the inner-half of a lower hinge from GM to repair it. Time to look up the part number and order it.
I've also got to figure out how to hook up the hatch struts on a GM notchback. From what I hear there is an adapter piece. Most likely I'll need to fabricate it. Everything else on a notchback is long discontinued, so I'm sure this piece is too.

I would have called and asked him myself but my cell won't go through and I don't pay for long distance service on the house phone because I have it on my cell. Look's like I'll be going to a pay phone.

My dad is interested in having his 91 t/a painted in the early summer months, so count me in. For the guys that already did this, I was hoping you might shed some light on the process for me.. pointers, how you guys organized trips, etc.
