The world needs one more inconsiderate person blasting his music and forcing others around him to have to deal with muisc they do not choose to listen to. great.

i would love to see your types sitting at a stop light for 5 minutes listening to Polka music being blasted at you.

Food for thought- Try and be respectful of other human beings around befroe you decide to just force your music on them.

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

you could just use a box that is made to hold 2 12" subs and use a jig saw to cut the holes a little bigger. it would probibly be cheap and fairly easy.

Ok then I'll go do burnouts on your lawn so you dont have to mow it. Dont mind the mud on your house, it'll wash off when it rains.

Have some respect for those around you. Its not just your world. Your priviledge to blast your music as loud as you want ends at my ears.

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

Before we all go bashing loud music, keep in mind there's a time and place for everything. Just as we shouldn't street race (that's what a track is for), loud music has its place also. There are organized car audio organizations that hold sanctioned events. I don't like pulling up next to someone that has bass thumping so hard I can't hear the music playing in my own car, but I do enjoy looking at well done car audio installs and hearing them (on my terms).

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

Just like anything else, there is a right time and place for everything. I've had plenty of stereo systems in my cars, but if you pull up to a light, don't sit there and annoy everybody else by forcing people to listen to your personal choices of tunes.

On another note, I do have a black carpet covered subwoofer box for sale that fits two (2) 12's. As mentioned though, if you have subs that use the larger sized magnets, you will need to modify this box or flip the subs upside down (that's what I did).

I also have a complete stereo system for sale also that I will let go for CHEAP, and I do mean COMPLETE stereo system including all wiring, amps, subs, cap, etc...even a head unit if needed. PM me for info on anything. I can cover the box in grey carpet also if you have grey interior.

They do make them for square speakers, but, only on special order I was told today. I have to pay for it in advance, and it takes from two to four working days to be ready.
I will inform you if any other of my supliers stocks those boxes.
PM for price and details if interested.

I used to have two 15s in the back of my 87 TA. Honestly, just not enough room/enclosure space.

Just get an 18" and call it a day!!

No physical damage? Tell that to your eardrums.

I used to think if its too loud, you're too old. Now I think if its too loud, it must be crappy music, like rap. The worthiness of the music played is inversely proportional to the volume level.

Its not the noise that bugs me, its when you can feel the music (THE ANNOYING VIBRATION OF THE BASS JUST CONTINUALLY POUNDING AND POUNDING). You know Pearl, like the annoying vibration that knocks the pictures off you bedroom wall when I am in the next room bonking your mother.

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

Sorry guys, most rap is horrible regardless of what car or stereo is playing it. I have no desire to hear how many ho's you're banging, how many cops you have shot, how much cocaine you are doing, or how many diamonds you have in your teeth. We in America are all about apple pie, baseball, rock and roll, and Chevrolet.

by the way do u know how much db it takes to damage ur ear drum? if that were the case i doubt the person in the car would be able to withstand it ...
Yes I do, see these links:
http://www.dangerousdecibels.org/faq.cfm
http://www.nwhealth.edu/healthyU/stayHealthy/ear3.html

Anything above 85 decibels for an hour can cause hearing loss. Anything above 110 decibels will cause damage after only a minute. The sound from an amplified stereo system is easily over 100 decibels, and inside a car, its probably close to 120. You guys are probably kids and dont care but you should care now so you still have your hearing later. I listened to loud rock music and heavy metal at your age and I've already lost some of my hearing now, 10 years later.

Kevin is right.

I've lost half of my hearing, and I'm barely 30. I could've closed my windows though...

But it's fun to annoy tailgater's, when you just can't get away...
and interesting to watch rain drops bounce off the hatch glass...

YOUVE BEEN TO MY JOB?!?... seems like everyone is going crazy over some music... either way... I dont think I've ever seen a box that holds 2 15's for a third gen... and i serioulsly think you dont have enough space in the back for two 15's to fit... and if you do get them in there I highly doubt the box will have the air volume your speakers are designed for... but good luck man...

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

Gents........let's end the loud music debate shall we. I think we can sum it up in one word....R E S P E C T! Respect those around you and their right to quiet. Blasting music is just plain rude. If you are alone at the light then fine otherwise the public right to silence outweighs your right to make noise! We are the embassadors for the Camaro. Let's make it a good one.

Second....rap music. Let us not confuse the types of rap. There is gangster rap and positive rap. I for one being middle age (over 40) don't mind certian types of rap and reggae (like Bob Marley) however I have NO time for gangster rap or the message it sends. But, not all rap is the same.

Getting back to the subject at hand.....why do you want to go with two 15" subs? I just don't see the point.

First the car probably will not have enough air space in the trunk to handle the 15's and secondly while it will hit low, it will not hit hard (yes there is a difference).

Also the 15's will reverb and won't have time to recover. By that I mean by the time the second note hits the sub, it is still on the first and so the sound will be a little muffled.

As a former IASCA competitor and judge I know what I am talking about. If you want loud why not 3 tens? You can get 133db from a good amp and two 10's in the back.

Yeah there probably right 2 15" are a bit much, probably make more rattle than anything. Three ten's sound good with some 300watt plus 6x9's.
On another note about the noise, some people like making nice bass, then there is others that just make noise.

Hey, I got a great idea! Why niot just take off all 4 of your wheels and mount 15" speakers in each fenderwell - it would sond loud as **** and you can just it in your own driveway all day and bug the **** out of you own mama.

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

I used to have a pair of 12" subs, but, I didn't like not having any trunk space in my car. Now I'm using a pair of diamond audio 10" subs, and I really like how they sound. Eventough I don't like playing my music extremely loud, I like having a system that will not be close to distort the music I'm playing, even at a moderate high level.

Ok then, I keep my 12 inch Klipsch subwoofers in my home theater setup. I also have double pained gas filled windows on my house which help insulate noise levels and vibration when I turn it up to watch and intense movie so as not to distrub the neighbors. I also have checked with them to make sure I am not annoying them and I have the level set to where I never breach it so as to be heard outside my property line with the doors and windows closed.

Hows that for constructive?, I hate aswipes driving down my street blating their music where I can feel it sitting in my house- hows that for constuctive. You now understand that people that look at you at a stoplight and you just think they are looking at you in envy because you have a loud bitchin stereo really look at you like you are one annoying punk and they wish it were turned down enough so you could even hear them complain to you about it- and you just love the attention that everyone looks at you- your too damn stupid to realise they look because you are ANNOYING- How that again for constuctive? will you listen? not till sthe right person kicks your ***.

Re: Wanted: 2 15" woofer box

lol well that was pointless and i think ur full of crap about insulating ur house, u would actully go ask ur neighbors if its to loud, who are u tryin to fool, which brings me to my next point, the dude was asking about 15s in his car, not whether ne one gives a **** about it, so you post yet another pointless post, thanks for coming out

ohh i forgot to add sumtin, my car was in an accident this summer, where basically the whole neighbor hood was outside looking, and i couldnt count how many people came up to me and said how nice my car was and how good my system sounded and even tho it loud they dont mind because im just passing by, and i never park and play it for the world to hear.
