Most of us who are active on this board and at SC3G are from the LA/OC area. Dave Staubli who is listed in the sticky for "Third Gen Friendly Companies" is from the San Diego area. His company is "Third Generation USA". Also if you go to www.socal-fbodies.org and go to the message board there is a post about meetings of the Camaro Club of San Diego. Their last post was an announcement of their meeting last October, but that board is pretty dead.

They do have a web site www.camaroclub.informe.com

You might be able to contact them to see if they are still active.

Re: 3rd gen'rs in SO CAL?

We used to have a couple San Diego members but they havent posted in a while. They tried to set up their own chapter of the club but only 2 members showed up. We also set up a San Diego cruise thru the 76 and the 78 highways a couple years ago but no San Diego people showed up. I dunno what's up with that area. There is a big 4th gen following as I see lots of San Diego people on the LS1 boards. But no thirdgenners.

Your saying you want me to pick you up? thats cool if we ever have another meet and im available, which is hard cuz im usually out in the ocean in a tin can. but thats cool. OR they can have a drive down here and ppl can tag along. even though my 3rd gen is nothing special (faded paint and stock rims faded as well) although im going for all go and no show right now, but still doing some minor body work (rust along the top of windshield) as long as you dont mind sittin in the back drewdown

Yea i dunno whats up with the 3rd genners here. but i see LOTS of them around. usually beat the heck up. I guess used as DD getting slaved going back and forth from the border and back. I was pumping gas and a 2nd gen owner started a long conversation (camaro enthusiast) and he told me about nastyz.com (?) i think thats it. theres actually 4 3rd gens on base i nthe vicinity of my pier and they are all in great condition. one looks like it rolled off the lot back in 91 (all stock in excellent condition) but parks in officer parking. maybe i should start recruiting i dunno. you guys coming down here anytime soon 91z?

sure you pick me up... or drop by my place and take my car... either way... i just need some motivation to go to the meetings up there... lolz... havin someone else for the ride would do it... even if we both drove up there.. i'd be up for a two man cruise up there... and as for your car... its alright.. as half of my car is primer... and the other half is beyond faded... lolz some aftermarket rims that i dont like... iono... its a work in progress i assume... i'd love to see some thirdgen groups down here tho...

Actually the cruise just starts in Riverside County. The Anza Borrego Desert stradles San diego and Imperial Counties if I remember correctly. In Warner Springs we will be in San Diego County, but I think when we go over the hill into Borrego Springs we are in Imperial County.

That would be nice! especially since I leave for South America on the 28th. Does your 3rd gen have to look good to join the cruise? cuz my paint is all faded (oxidized) but thats about it.

Don't worry about paint. Our cars are pretty much all drivers, not show cars. We take care of our cars, but they are not all pristine. Many have been fixed up and are better now than they were a year or 2 ago. Some are still works in progress. Come on out and enjoy the drive.

If you are going to make the cruise, please post in the thread I started on the Anza-Borrego Desert Cruise so I can get a car count to know how many maps to print also if you are coming up for breakfast with us, post that as well so I can get a count for the restaurant.

We have a few members from the South Bay area. Alex just completed his 1984 T/A with a 406, Super Ram, and a T-56.
