3rdGen Transformer...cool thought.

Since the first Transformers movie, I always thought that Iroc-z's Could have a made a cool Autobot. IF automakers werent pushing 4 sales, it wouldve been cool to see what "other" cool older cars we wouldve have seen.
Since the camaro had such sharp edge lines and an aggressive look with blacked out pocket headlight and hood louvers, i think that wouldve been cool.
So what r you guy's thoughts? Is your 3rd gen look, handle and feel like a good guy? or a bad guy?

p.s Is there a backfire section in this forum, like general talking, b.s?

Is this a joke?

Lol, hahaha, jk. Um, well I'm not that big of a transformers fan so I can't tell you what most of the people would think.

I honestly don't know why they chose a beat up old 76 maybe? Bland grampa 2nd gen camaro, it didn't even have ground effects on it. It could have looked better if they had chosen maybe an early 2nd gen ('70-'73) or a late 2nd gen ('80-'81).

Don't ask me how I know this (as i am not into this stuff). In the 80's they made a Transformer named Windcharger that was a 1982ish Firebird. It was small and more like a Go Bot. A cheap Transformer they could buy kids whining for the high dollar boxed versions.

A later 80's version called Roadhandler

I think they chose the 76 camaro in the movie because it was uglier than the 3rd gen...

IDW (the latest comics version) had a pair of 4th gens as bad guys.

For back talk, and non 3rd gen stuff, we use the local board sc3g.org

Re: 3rdGen Transformer...cool thought.

thats sweet dude. lol sorry but I don't know what it is about that little auto bot symbol but I think it looks sweet there. Where did you get it? I was thinking about doing that and since I want to get rid of the badge on the front of my car put a little autobot symbol there too. Some people would laugh but I think it would be pretty cool.

Re: 3rdGen Transformer...cool thought.

You can probably find the steering wheel emblem on Ebay. Or if you have a custom graphics/sign shop in the area, they can cut something like that out of a peel-and-stick vinyl material that you can then attach to the wheel. I tried painting it on my horn button when I installed my Grant wheel, but didn't like how it turned out so I painted over it. I'm gonna try it again when I get some time. When I go to paint the car, I want to paint it on the front, in the grill where the front license plate mount is. I already pulled the camaro emblem off the front bumper.

NT-Z - Do you have a larger version of that pic you could email me? I'd love to add that to my background.

I bought the whole button off Ebay. It was supposed to be a direct fit for most aftermarket wheels, but of course didn't fit my Grant wheel. What I ended up doing was taking both the Ebay horn button and the grant button apart. I then moved the middle plastic piece from the Ebay button to the grant button and put it back together. I had to sand down the emblem a tiny bit to fit in the Grant button too. I thought it might look too importish, but I think it looks alright and it was something different. If I get tired of it, it's simple to change.
