Passing smog in SD?

My car is never going to pass the smog standards out here. I need to know if there is anyway to register my car without passing, or if there is a shop that can "help" me pass....Thanks for the help guys!

Re: Passing smog in SD?

Could be because of the LS1 sitting in the engine bay.

Yep, even members of our military are not exempt from CAs big brother the CARB.

It would cost a fortune to fix that car.

Couldn't you just keep it registered in your home state? That's what my brother in law does

If this avenue doesn't work. There are "special" individuals who can help "pass" a smog for a certain fee... If you know or have come across kat's with modified vehicles.. (typically ricers) They may know a buddy with that ability to "help"...

Would you happen to know anyone like this? How stern are they on the visual part of the inspection? If they don't look under the hood or under the car, I might be able to pass the sniffer if I mess with the tune a little bit.

Re: Passing smog in SD?

You should not have to change the registration then, you only have to get a smog test done. I will send you a PM.

Without a CAT, no way to pass sniffer test.
