I dunno what you're babbling about now. I've said before why I started a TPI club and left SC3G. I havent posted my build yet, but like Allen said, my build is all over TG.O as well. You never came to any SCTPI meetings. What's a peanut motor?

If you're going to have the ***** to call our "drive into any smog shop, pass the roller test, and pay the price on the wall without slipping the guy money under the table" as illegal, then you should know a 383 engine is illegal in California, also.

You guys just hate it because I tell Don an Kevin the truth. You just cant see people that look through most of you an see reality what Gene really could do for them. Gene already an I told you before it's working.. Getting people that want to get into the battle well Mike the pro of the industry that's what gets them started.
No, of course not. We all know an LS1 engine with heads, cam, and headers will make more power than a similar TPI engine. That's not the point. The point is having fun with what we have and making old stuff work like the new stuff. Some people like to spend money to own the latest and greatest, and other people like to spend money making what they have work.

Truth? You only have your opinions. That's not the truth. I have nothing against Gene. He called me the other day for helping in diagnosing a VATS problem and I helped him as best as I could.

You have what you have, I have what I have, and everyone else has what they have! Continuing to solicit people for information on their individual builds is nothing more than a pathetic attempt and generating ANY interaction with you (albeit negative) so that you feel relevant or perhaps enlightened?

Actually it's a good topic an I just wanted to see what people are doing. I dont see no problem with it. The problem I see is rude comments from some people that's clearly said.

Please explain your undying self-deprecating desire to continue to have people tell you that they don't want you or that you are an idiot? Why do you continuously place yourself on a pedestal only to be knocked off repeatedly by others far more knowledgeable than you claim to be?

Your talking like Im a Orphan kid or something because Im not welcomed by you people.
I never said I was more knowledge than most people here. You have to remember I been around thirdgens for 13 years an been around Camaro's my whole life. I don't care what you know or dont. That's not my Ego to bash people that may or may not. But you all like to. Your no help at all.
I had a job for you needed your help in the future but look how your acting I can't even ask now as your insulting me. Would have been fun an get paid an do what you like to do.
Please help me understand why you do this to yourself!?!?!?!
Im not doing anything to myself but telling you all the truth again. On a topic that was just supposed to be your engine combo if you want it to be on this post. And it turned the wrong way an it sure wasnt me. You people cant stay to a topic an keep your ego in your pocket. No had to be insults to people here an racing like always. I mentioned Lsx Et times because I just wanted the full story that's working out for him. Im not here to fight with you Mike. My hands are behind my back.

No Kevin I never knew why you started a Tpi club. If it's good for the people then great, but I seen you over an over turn down people the ideas of another 3rdgen club. There the same reason why Golden State Third Gen was needed. SC3G for some people did not get along with certain members in that club. Can I remember why No.
I came to two meetings one time was with Dean at the dealership an one with Alex at some place when he had an oil problem. It's just uncomfortable for me the way you all are. And im sure by then we were not on a good friendship.
A peanut motor to Gene is a lot of things. The build platform or not enough money to go all the way, so you build something mild an they come back for more mods later down the road. I would have been the same way. Not enough cam for a stroker bad choice to allowed myself to buy it from Don. And clearances an expensive springs for .525 lift only. So that's what he means.

If you're going to have the ***** to call our "drive into any smog shop, pass the roller test, and pay the price on the wall without slipping the guy money under the table" as illegal, then you should know a 383 engine is illegal in California, also.
Look Im glad you pass smog with your intakes. But to me just an illegal category an thats it. It's your own Tpi version. Your lucky they pass it. Big deal you can swap that in an hour an pass. For me there is no proof it's a 383 and you know that.

Alright working on a budget an making progress an learning a lot while doing it. That's free power.

I seen a lot of people attack Gene here an not most of it had to do with me. Old news there. I already told everyone just because he is a good friend, dont not like him bc of what I say or do. Even if he jokes about stuff an I mention it. We are lucky we have two wise men that can do what it takes to help all Southern Ca 3rdgen members.
Im glad to hear that you are helping each other out an Im sure you will be doing more of it in the near future. And honestly with Mikes comment an feelings. Gene is out there on certain mechanic web sites so he is doing good. He has a shop full most the time an he has a quick turn around rate. He will do fine. I go by there when I can an help him out. Old Danny 86 Z-28 is always there helping Gene. We worked on a Vortec truck putting the intake back on an getting everything back. It was a head removal bc of some stripped out ex. manifold bolts an he fixed it an the owner got one hell of a deal at low cost.
I would love to see the Lsx crowd to have some work done by Gene in the future.

It wasn't long enough, maybe you should come back when your car is actually is on the road. That should take about 3+ more years by the rate of progress you've made on it so far.

Yeah yeah we know..you're a one percent-er and run corporations, we've heard it all before. If you're so tight with Gene and making so much money why don't you drag that car over to his shop, pay the money and get it on the road. Put the proverbial money where your mouth is. But you won't because you need to have the car not running so you can use it as an excuse.

Ya I admit it's been down for 7 years big deal. Smog. Im doing other things an your bring to attention I don't get anything done, well Stud you have to start by ordering parts an that's what Im doing.

You know nothing about Gene an how he gets bussiness, from people Pm me about what they need. He is on Automotive web sites with good information written about Gene Jones Racing. You only an all mostly only can understand Gene as an Automotive Mechanic. He is much more then that to me. You all talk about your friends.

Cant tell ya what is we have. Doesnt matter if it's a penny or 100's of millions.
Do you know how much Gene Race car cost? To buy that car would be over 150k..Turnkey. Ask yourself why would I want a car that has no track to even be used down here. And 7 second car.

Ya sure no one Bashes Gene. Now that you figuring out what ever is said about any of you doing anything with Gene. It doesnt effect our friendship or what we do.

Oh sorry Sir we were done with the thread, They like $itches they dont want me to get comments. Esp a car that is in almost tip top shape with 4k miles on a whole build. I'll have Gene bring the Nitrous because word is Branden is going to upgrade. Ya know keep them laughing an waste time here writing crap I dont want to write back about. They just hate a GM platform build they still don't have the torque in there 400rwhp thirdgens!! Maybe they don't want to research what's really coming. Vincent already is stuck with what he bought and that's good.

Omg 15k for a real nice build carb. I feel more of the Lsx direction with that much money. A monkey could work on those things. A few K into my Vortec 4 bolt 383 changing to Afr Im looking for that 440hp 480tq from Lpe 113's 219/219 383ci SR.. Im hoping Vincent is right around that mark hp wise with the mini ram but I still think the way he is going he falls short on torque. It's a interesting research. And as the rule book follows a 350 crank oop wrong category for a 388ci.. Vincent's going to be dialed in real good before I do an will hit the street because I have to. Did an edit there..

If you laid off the drugs before hitting the keyboard you might be coherent enough to understand what I said. I said we don't need you telling us how great Gene is in every post, we all know he has a good reputation. He doesn't need you as his mouth piece especially the way you post and reply to people. You have no idea what I know or my relationship with Gene or if I even have one.

My point is you haven't done anything in 7 years and you don't contribute squat here other than running around asking about peoples builds and then writing incoherent posts about how amazing your 383 with SR was 7 yrs ago.

As far as my car..it's been on the road for the last 7 years. I can walk out to the garage, fire it up and go for a ride. It's got an LB9 with SLP runners, accel intake and ported plenum with cam. I also have an L98 with afr heads and cam and TPiS MiniRam almost ready to go in.

Re: Release the secrets of your engine build

Look Im not here to argue with you. If I mention something about Gene you still wouldnt care the purpose. You think you have a healthy mouth here then keep digging into the subjects for what reason?

I been making my comment from Kevin had to mention, an it's just my response, how about just go back to the subject an for get what you all mighty people feel about me posting non useful information. The topic is useful because the topic was getting response.

If your running that's fine.. Im nearly there. I just dont sink thousands into a Camaro just so it can see the street. Tell you the truth I really dont like driving it an I already been bumped with no damage so I chose to keep it in the garage an fire it up time to time.

The topic wasnt about bragging rights or to have comments like you have to earn respect. The topic isnt that. So you have part of yours posted. How would I know what you had? Im just wondering where everybody is with there rides. You like rides I like rides an it's just a complete sig topic.
