Release the secrets of your engine build
Well I thought this be interesting or cool an let it out.
What were talking is what actually what did you do to your 3rdgens motor. Id like to see a new 2013 info let out there if you all like to explain your engine lay out. What are those special touches that you have done. Seems there is a Dyno Video of all these cars now in the 400+ range so lets be fair for any new comers to hear about your build. Just try to be exact with info, may provide links an actual part orders #'s.. Don an Kevin are a big help to this info if they feel sure they want to help in anyway.
The ones building there engine now like Vincent is ok to explain his current build. It only takes one part you have on order to mention your next current combo.
If your stock let's hear that also..
We don't get to see your full sig due to the limit an there are people like myself that don't attend any functions at this time.

Why would you have a Hypertech chip?
Sounds like a nice 355 to start..

Re: Release the secrets of your engine build
Still waiting for a lot more builds fellows. Allen your in the lead let's hear what's working for you.
For what it seems you got a Lsx coming after you an Vincent with a 388ci. Anybody else up top? Don's where Vincent used to be 1/4 times, have not seen the Vid in awhile not sure if Don beat him, but you seen Don really raised the car almost lifted off the ground. Wow what was the reaction time on that!
As for me Im not going to talk about my seven month plan or where I'll be power wise for sure but the new combo Im thinking it's going to be pretty good. And that is going to be a good day when it's finished. Got my Accel base coming, I hear it's flow is up there high so I may not even need to hone it but port match The SR Runers.
I asked Gene how do I keep up with Vincent an he said what it will be is a Lingenfelter cam. Not sure on the 219/219 but maybe something with same lift but higher duration.

LS/TPI/turbo hybrid with 22:1 comp.ratio, runs on 87 octane . Forged everything,MS engine management . all this mated to a bullet proof power glide trans . I run negative 7's on the quarter mile . Had to stop these runs due to tires not lasting more than one pass . I'm currently working with goodyear to develop a tire strong enough to withstand all this power, that and the NHRA came down on me hard . They said if i went any faster i could create a black hole that would destroy the earth and that they saw my car as a liability . So, yeah that's my setup .

Since small block Chevy's have been King for so many years,
Yeah, I guess that would hurt to think you had one and couldn't make it run.
Gosh, just about anybody can make a "Small Block Chevy" run.
Some had to switch to something else to stop hurting.
And you must be hurting.... to keep trash talking.
If that's not what you meant, I'm sorry, I apologize.

We're happy doing our own thing and accomplishing our own goals with our thirdgens. Just like you're doing your thing with yours. Its all thirdgen power to me.

It actually started when mikey asked about the swap and your dad put him down for the idea and called ls swap cars bastardized. But! That's neither here nor there and was truly the inspiration for my swap. So thank you for that.

I couldn't get past the first two sentences. Don't put me in any group my words are my words, in fact this is my first post in socal section in a while.
And to clarify, yes I realize the tpi lsx debate has been beat to death. I don't think Fidel was talking about anyone in particular. But someone here not only thought the shoes fit, they laced those b*tches up and wore them.

So your making all these low Et's high mph with no headers, with gears changed? And secret hp numbers because of what? That sounds like trying to cut in line to me.

I don't consider myself part of any lsx tpi crowd. When there is all this debate I'm just laughing about it. No hard feelings here.

That is untrue. I've built my camaro from the ground up since 07. There isn't a single bolt I haven't touched on it. I didn't just go and seek a swap it was never planned. I happened to be blessed with a deal I couldn't pass up on a donor. I did all work myself.

Re: Release the secrets of your engine build
It's kinda like this, We tpi crowd an that includes me as I have a lot. I have a whole list of these performance parts from my starter to my rear stroker crank adapter on my 400 crank. We have this full list an the Lsx crowd is mild cam an thats all
In time Im going to handle alot of Tpi an Lsx at the dyno because I seen there numbers now Im not saying Mini Ram because I don't know what that is going to come out to be an if I can match that

In time...? You've been talking about this stroked TPI engine for 3 years and it hasn't made it to the track once?
Who cares what you guys have spent on your TPI builds.

Branden, I've organized another 3rd gen shootout for August 29th. I will comp your fuel, entry fee, and driver fee so you can come out and put everyone on notice with that world class stroker of yours...
But wait, let me guess... you've hung up the old drag racing gloves and don't race anymore...?

I asked for your help with these people and you didnt write back. A year ago you did help an I took your advice, I was gone for a full year. This post here is what I like doing. I cant control what everyone has or doesnt or what I have. I have never said that I was going to be on top an 2007 never said I would be on top at the strip. I was on top with Dyno results an that's it. It is not my fault that nobody is above 442rwtq yet. And I earned it because I paid the Boo Koo money for it. I dont have a forged crank an 1k rods. 700.00 roller rockers 2k heads and all that good stuff like some have. Looks like only a Lsx can compete with a Dart Block an Im sure a full built 4l60e with a Yank 4,000 stall! So it's proof there that I dont have a World Class Stroker. As there is nothing I can do right now to compete with that.
I told you I wanted to start learning Auto Cross and not tear up my car at the strip. Esp with parts getting a lil rare. Who's going to have 3:45 gears or the unit if it breaks? I just had to replace a 500 plus Lingenfelter throttle body with a new one just because a spring broke. And there a little hard to find for under that. And I found one.
I tell you what when Gene is done with the build an Bds an another tuner is done with the Dyno I will come to the track. If the car is running on the street I will drag myself an Gene with a trailer an pay for it win or lose. Our one focus is Vincent an there's nobody else. And that's just to be sure were performing the same.
So never had no Racing gloves you were there. It was just the first runs of my life.
So go out there do your event an do what you do.

Watch nobody else is going to post what I wanted to see what every one had! One more day of my new post an it's being deleted... Im not fighting all these people again.
Don won't post his Kevin won't..Once I tell Justin hey don't let these people run you out of here there not running me out. An all mighty Kevin says Im not a part of the Tpi crowd because he has started a Tpi club alone. Many people wanted other clubs an Kevin shot them down. An he has a Tpi club Now! I don't like Kevins club never did I went to a couple meetings an that was it and it was basically because Don's build, That was years ago when Dean came. Im not a part of anything so you don't have to throw it in my face. I told you all Lsx will eat you all up an you know it so get the grease out of your ears! You want to know the truth what Gene says. Peanut motors all you have an all you Do! Just so they get back in line an get more work.

Re: Release the secrets of your engine build
Is it my fault that you paid $$$$ for every aftermarket performance part available while I took advantage of GM's stock LS parts to go faster?
They didnt have Lsx swaps back in 2001-2007.
In time...? You've been talking about this stroked TPI engine for 3 years and it hasn't made it to the track once?
Ok of course ya Im in the making of first getting my Infiniti back on the road I just bought last year, an yes Gene an myself are going to build the 383ci.
Your thread states "engine build" that's why I posted the particulars of my engine and not my drivetrain, exhaust, interior or exterior mods.
Headers are a part of the engine. If you have a part not engine wise an is working for you like say your gears let us know. We can go off main topic.
I did not do this to fight. my hands are behind my back. Some one else is doing that!
Who cares what you guys have spent on your TPI builds.

Re: Release the secrets of your engine build
Branden, please stop trying to drag Gene into your banter and putting words into his mouth.
I stopped by Gene's new shop a couple weeks ago just say say hello and see what his new shop looked like. Gene is a good guy who busts his *** to stay ahead of the performance curve and is a wonderful mechanic and at extremely fair price.
So for you to try and make your words his on this board is to systematically undo everything he has works so hard for over the years. For those that know Gene, know that you are full of **** and that he would never place himself above or ahead of TPI or LSX because it is completely out of his character to do so.
For those that don't know Gene, you are destroying the opportunity for him to capture new business through this message board.
Not cool man. ...and why? So you can have a someone in your proverbial corner that can never affirm or contest the things that you are saying he said?
Seriously bro, you need to stop...

WTH are you talking about. Peanuts is what Gene told me an that's me included!
None of you know Gene like I do! Gene knows of all this B.S here you all do. It's not me why he doesnt come here. It's probably another reason. Gene has helped me through thick an thin. And I have done the same for him! You waltz in there with your understanding of what you understand of mechanics an shoot me down. Like Im ruining it for him! These people here are for Don to build there cars. And some been talking a lot of smack on Gene a year ago.
I mentioned Gene an myself are going to build my 383ci our way. That's it.I dont need nobody on my side. I come here to this post just to learn combos an I already knew this post would go south. All because some people here give Lsx a real hard time! Gene told me an taught me quick about Lsx an he tell you again Tpi cant hang with Lsx builds.
So you want to see me race in the future well I tell you the car will sit in the parking lot till Vincent is ready to run! We will be finished with each other that day!
You guys just hate it because I tell Don an Kevin the truth. You just cant see people that look through most of you an see reality what Gene really could do for them. Gene already an I told you before it's working.. Getting people that want to get into the battle well Mike the pro of the industry that's what gets them started.

Branden, stop.
All of this senseless interaction with what purpose!? To further establish yourself as a non-authority on TPI, LSX, 383's, etc?
You have what you have, I have what I have, and everyone else has what they have! Continuing to solicit people for information on their individual builds is nothing more than a pathetic attempt and generating ANY interaction with you (albeit negative) so that you feel relevant or perhaps enlightened?
Please explain your undying self-deprecating desire to continue to have people tell you that they don't want you or that you are an idiot? Why do you continuously place yourself on a pedestal only to be knocked off repeatedly by others far more knowledgeable than you claim to be?
Please help me understand why you do this to yourself!?!?!?!
