Dyno Day Thread 10-10-15

The dyno place is MD Automotive at

7281 Westminster Blvd
Westminster, CA 92683
714-891-1113

We'll meet at 9am and work out the dyno order. Its going to be hot, so bring yourself some drinks, and a chair to sit in. Don and I will bring our usual chairs, too.

Dyno cost is $80 cash for ~hour payable to Mark, and my tuning is free if you've previously paid me for a custom chip.

Check over your cars now and make sure your oil, tranny fluid, and water levels are topped off, your spark plug wires are in good shape, and your car is otherwise good to go.

Lastly, remember you assume all risk for having your car tested at wide open throttle on the dyno.

Re: Dyno Day Thread 10-10-15

Nobody has posted their numbers yet, but there were some really great results, despite the 100 degree heat.

My own car (a 92 firebird, with the motor from the GTA - AFR's, modified TPI etc) didn't cooperate on the dyno.
(The numbers were significantly less than it ran in December.)

Otherwise it runs and feels great, so it's probably just a fuel thing.

Congrats to everyone who ran and it was nice to see you all again!

It was great seeing everyone again!

Is anyone up for an Irwindale night before it closes for good?

Re: Dyno Day Thread 10-10-15

What a Nice Day!

Even the ridiculous temperature couldn't upset the fun... I've included a picture of the of the temperature as registered by the Dynometer, keep in mind this is as it begins to cool down. One highlight of the many things I learned today was the definition of "Mineshaft Air".

Dyno Don, Kevin91Z, VinceZ28 & 1989GTA TransAM, Thank You for all input & insight.

Congratulations to the Reigning King, VincentZ28. Impressive Numbers!

This year's Dyno Day was definitely dominated by the almighty MiniRam!

If you would like a high resolution copy of the photographs, send me a message.

Another car got into the 400rwhp range in spite of the over 100 degree temperatures.

Re: Dyno Day Thread 10-10-15

Not too shabby for a home built "355" auto
401 HP to the rear wheels in the 100* + heat.

Congrats to Miguel
