sport springs with out any drop?

i have a 91 camaro with edelbrock springs, and i really like the increase in rate, but im dragging and scraping on everything. everytime i go over a speedbump it sounds like im gonna lose my catalitic converter. does anyone know of any sport springs that dont lower the car?

yeah, ill sell the edelbrocks if i can find something other than the stockers that stay at full ride height or close to it. the edelbrocks are susposed to be a 1" drop, but i just dont believe it. im sure they are closer to 1.5 in.

Or you can put on a set of 17" wheels it will bring you a little more clearance, I have the eibach pro kit , after i put 17" on i cleared speed bumps

Go with 89 iroc springs. They are 600 pound per inch and if you need more you will have to get somthin setup for autoX. I'm not positive but I seriously doubt any sport springs are over 600 ppi. Plus they are only 60 bucks at your local parts store. Its a TRW spring but I can't remember the part number right off hand.

What about IROC-Z springs? Aren't they better than Z28 springs?

In the years that the IROC-Z and Z28 were both available, the IROC springs are better.

I would love to lower my car... but I practically hit the ground all the time as it is with stock ride height and the ground effects plus the air dam hanging down. Tailpipes hit the ground from time to time as well. I can't imagine how you do it with a lowered thirdgen.

well thanks for the pointers. i installed the TRW rear springs today. they are progressive, and seem to have the same or very similar spring rate to the edelbrocks. best of all they ride at stock height. i cant wait till this weekend when i install the front springs, ball joints, and motor mounts. (already have poly everything, STB, SFC's, and boxed trailing arms)

BTW: if anyone wants a slightly used set of edelbrock springs, ill be letting them go for $100 plus $20 to ship.

forgot to mention..... these are the TRW heavy duty springs. i think the standard springs have the same spring rate as stockers.
