HELP!! 1979 GMC Pickup Brake Problems

Sorry it's not a 3rd Gen, but my brother needs help. He's put on new calipers, new master cylinder, new brake lines. Before the left front would lock up, the caliper on the rotor. So that's when he's replaced all the parts. Now it's still doing it. There's smoke coming out of it. It was fine for a couple miles, and now it has come back. Please help.

Could it be the proportioning valve, though I was told that only affects the front and back, not one side, again this only happens to the left side.

check the fluid preasure on the other side, there may be a restriction there making him use more force on the brake pedal and causing the one side to lock

Forgot to mention, he got new hoses too. And there's no trash in the lines as the fluid comes out.

maybe the prop valve?? some valves did do the angle thing. not all were front back split. at least that;s what I've heard. I'm not too sure as it wouldn't make sense.......

1. Check the runout of the rotor
2. Alignment of the caliper relative to the rotor
(centering from the leading edge of the pad to the trailing edge)

You are looking for a bent spindle ear or some such...
