brake line assembly?

I just put new calipers and flex hoses on my 92 Z. Here is the stupid question; does one copper washer go on each side of the hose end? My driver side hose has a steady leak coming off of the bolt and I can't find a crack or an area where the leak could be coming from. :hail:

Thanks Ed, I assembled them that way, but the drivers side still leaks.

Maybe the area where the washer sits has a deformation of some kind??
