If you feel it in the brake pedal your brake rotors are warped and you need a brake job bad. Should feel pulsing or vibrating in the pedal if rotors are warped.

I had the same problem with my 88 iroc convertable. I turned the rotors installed new brake pads and packed the wheel bearings and the problem went away.

glazed rotors should be replaced, the pads won't work as well.

your problem is a cracked framerail behind the steering box. I had the same prob. My car would hop like mad when i braked. It was so bad a buddy of mine stopped his car in the middle of trafffic and started running after me cause he thought my wheel fell off :P

The fix? remove the steering box bolts slide it over and weld the cracks. Maybe add a gusset on the bottom for the whole rail. BIG THING.......add a wonderbar to help distribute the load evenly throughout the whole frontend. I haven't had a problem since. No more hopping lowrider.

Good luck
