First of all, don't YELL. For cheap, you could go with the SLP take-off posi. But you didn't post your year, make and model--so I'm not sure what it would take to intall it on your car. I like the powertrax locker in mine, it works well. Looking at your combo, I would go with 3.42's.

I just had an Auburn Posi rear installed w/ a set of Richmond 3.42 rear end gears in my 92 RS. Compared to the stock open rear & 2.73's I have not noticed any decrease in gas mileage, RPM's @ 2,250 - 2,300 when cruzing in OD @ 70 mph.

it is a 1990 camaro RS 305 TBI 5-speed

is the take off of a posi (that SLP makes) lock both axles together so that they both spin when i burnout or will it leave dashed marks? like it was transfering power form one wheel to the other trying to gain traction? i am looking at auburn gear's product. but i want something that will take some aftermarket improvements to the motor and maybe even a 350 later on. It also needs to stand up to reel hard launches using slicks. i juss want something reliable that people have had good experiences with

how does your posi run with the 3.42's is there a reel difference in your launch or take off from the light? i think that i am going to go with 3 73 's about 90 percent sure but im still stumped on the posi side of things.

Noticed a huge difference, the car definitely feels a lot stronger. If I get on the gas hard from a dead stop, the rear will break loose

suppose to be common w/ Richmond gears, it is not a loud humm, I can barely even hear it.

Richmonds tend to hum a bit. Those dash marks are from wheel hop--common in thirdgen's. Especially if it's lowered. Only a locker locks the wheels together, limited slip(torsen, auburn, etc.) gives power to both wheels, but not 100 percent equal.
