Messed up hard brake line and maybe proportioning valve
Hey, putting all My brake stuff back on and think I may have cross threaded the line that comes from the back brakes into the proportioning valve. Naturally it leaked so I tightened it
and may have messed up the line(stripped) What should I do? I can get all new brake lines(stainless for $200), but I really dont want to. I may also need a proportioning valve, but I was going to switch to disk brakes, but not until I get the engine back in,
. Man this stinks. What would yall do? any recomendations are greatly appreciated.

The line is probably OK. But the combination (proportioning) valve is probably stripped, not the nut on the line. The nut is steel, and the valve is aluminum.
