Should 255/50-16's rub on my car?

I am just wondering if anyone knows if these tires would rub on
the front of my car. I have an 84 z28 and am going to be putting
a set of 16" 91 z28 rims on with 255/50-16 kumho 712's all
around. I know they may rub but my car came with 235/60-15's
on it and the diameter is 26.1" which is the same as the 255's.
If I went with the 245/50-16's (diameter 25.6) my speedo would
be messed up so I am trying to go with the lesser of two evils.
Also, can you heat and warp the inner plastic liner for clearance?
Thanks for any feedback. Also, does any one have pictures of
these tires from the rear because I have heard the center channel
makes them look narrower than they are.

I have 255-45-17's on the front and 315-35-17's on the rear of my 83. The front only rubs a little on the plastic. I have centerline rims, but I don't know the backspacing. I think you'll have plenty of room. Good luck.
