I have air shocks, but only because I need them to clear wide tires that were on the car when I bought it. They ride really rough.

Look at the place where the top of the shock mounts to the body before you buy anything. THey just stick through the sheet metal. It's so thin and weak, it will fail just from absorbing shocks over a period of time. I know, mine have already broken out and had to be repaired. It's nowhere near strong enough to actually hold up the car for more than a few miles.

Just get some new springs... use the Moog ones, IIRC the part # is CC635 but I could be mistaken. You can change them yourself in your driveway in about 10 minutes.

what about air springs?? see im caught up on the air shocks and springs because i dont plan on running this big of a tire forever. eventualy im gonna go back down, and if i bought regular springs to make the back higher, then im gonna have to bet new ones to lower it when i get smaller tires. im just looking for a good convienent way to do this. are there inserts i can put in my springs to make them stiffer?

You can use air bags that you insert into your stock springs. You can get them from Jegs or Summit for about $70 a pair.

Stay away from air shocks like RB83L69 said.

Yes, the air lift 1000s will work fine. You can try to install the bags with the spirings on the car, but it will probably be easier if you remove the springs.

To preload your right spring for drag racing, put 5 psi in the left bag and 15 psi in the right bag.
