Adventures at costco

well the day started out great..and then went to hell in a handbasket real quick..lol...got my tires balanced at costco well..the guy calls me in the shop and tells me that one of the studs are stripped..i say no prob..i will handle it...well i get home to take it off and low and behold...i windup breaking off three studs?? what the hell..i had to take them to work and presses them suckers out...is putting on lug nuts with a air gun a no-no?..costco is on thin ice now..them low life tricycle seat sniffin weirdos...lmao...just had to vent..later fellas!!....:lala:

I never use and impact for that very reason. I know that I have better things to do then to replace those studs. I use a lug wrench and a torque wrench just like they did back in the day.

Do you have aluminum aftermarket wheel?

If so, the aluminum will rub off onto the wheel studs if wheels are removed and replaced. If they are removed alot, the build up of aluminum will freeze-up the lug nuts causing them to break off the studs during removal.

This may not be your case, but just a tip for everyone.

Aluminum Irocs have steel inserts so this will not happen.
