You also left out Alstons, which is one of only at most 3 brands that will fit a convertible. Lon

I have the Kenny Brown SFC's. They work great, are very good quality and only weighed 15lbs for the pair.

Man, this topic has been beaten to death, lol. I'm sure no matter which ones you go with, as long as you do get some, you'll be okay. I've heard Spohn's were great, maybe a tad heavy, but great nevertheless. Whenever his new design comes out I'm sure it'll be even better.

I've heard that KB's outstanding and light to boot. Their street cage and sfcs are going into my project car later this year most likely.

Anyways, the most important thing of all: get the ones you can afford, lol.

I'd like to get the best ones no matter the cost(ok I don't want to spend $5,000,000 on SFC). I would like to go with the Spohn SFC but he is taking forever to retool his shop and I kind of need/want some now. Well I guess I'll wait till august. Thats when I'll have the money. Maybe he'll have everything done by then. If not then I think I'm gonna go with the Kenny Brown SFC.

We're right on the same wavelength. I'm also giving Spohn till the end of this month and thats it, I'm going to then purchase Kenny Brown SFC's. I've waited on Spohn since Feburary- I actually placed an order in Feb. to Spohn for SFC's and Troque-arm assembly and he rejected the SFC part and requested I reorder them later when the retooling is done. I was happy with the looks of the old design.

I REALLY BELIEVE SPOHN HAS ABANDONED US 3RD GEN. OWNERS AND IS ONLY SUPPORTING THE 4TH GEN GUYS. He won't reply to my inquires.

I would spend the money to buy the best ones you can get. Don't forget, you are WELDING these to your frame. Once they are in, they are very difficult to remove.

Do it right the first time.

AFrikinGoodTime, don't be so dramatic, lol. I seriously doubt he has abandoned the thirdgen crowd. Do you know how much business he gets from us? I'm sure he's just busy. Running a company effeciently is not the easiest thing to do, especially when trying to get everything up to date for making better products (for us). I agree with you on one thing though; he should have made an effort to reply to you but you must understand that sometimes it gets hectic. Just try and have some patience. If not, go with the KB's. Either way, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

My story is similar to Afrikangoodtime's. But I havent had my car functional for 3 months. but with the new motor im going to want them. so I will prolly give Steve another 2-3weeks. If not I will have to go with the KB's I wonder how much money steve has lost with the re-tooling ? I was perfectly fine with his old boxed design.
