10 bolt-> 9 bolt Backing plates?

has anyone had a chance to try this out yet? buying some 10 bolt backing plates and re-drilling or elogating the 10 bolt disc backing plate to work with a 9 bolt disc rear? i am about to attempt to try this feat so i would like some feed back. is it remotely possible? if some has tried it an ended in failure, i would like to know that as well.

the 9 bolt backing plate pattern is on the right. it looks possible? thanks for any criticism or help.

I haven't 'cause I managed to pick up another '89 9 bolt rear that has them. I really don't have to now.

Sorry!

Yeah, I'd go ahead and give it a try. Nothing to lose.

Talk to AndyZ28 and see what he's up to. He may have a little input to the project.
