im gonna loose my teeth if i keep driving my car

My car rides like a tank. I hate it. my body is taking a beating all the time and the wife thinks the car is broke. the only thing broke is my back. i have a tight suspension but i think i over did it. anyone have a good suspension combo that dont ride to hard.i have Eibach pro kit, ES busjings allover, KYB shocks, and 17" wheels.

wow that's wierd i think we have an identical problem. i rebuilt my front suspension components and got 17"cragar ss'. my car now feels like i'm riding on fred flinstones cement wheel. every bump is annoying as hell. i think i've narrowed it down to a couple of things. i think it's either the new thick front sway bar (solid), which means i can take turns like a pro, but it doesn't give at all, or the friggin wheels. i wanna try different wheels to see the difference. it could have something to do with the fact that they weigh like 9000 pounds, or it could be my tires. Kuhmos, again i can take turns like nothing, but the sidewall on these things are like solid steel, no flex at all. i hope i've been some help, probably not much, but if you figure this jarring ride out and how to solve it, please lemme know. thanks!

haha I guess people have different ideas of stiff. Man I had about the same set up and I thought that ride was great! haha...you should see my car now. 800lbs front springs and 200lbs rear. Its full out stiff! like you can as hard as you can push down on the front and back. It will go down about 1mm O_o its thats stiff! haha

Well, my suspension isn't too soft, but it doesn't feel like I'm riding on cement wheels, thats for sure.

I've got the 16" Diamond spoke WS6 rims, WS6 springs, KYB AGX struts, and KYB Gas-a-Just shocks and it rides firm, corners well with the 1LE sway bars and is harsh over poor roads. I'd say go with 16" tires as I've heard from many people that there's a huge difference in ride quality. Its the easiest route to go at this point. I'll see how my ride quality deteriorates when I go to Sportlines and get a set of SFCs.

too stiff is not good.....the suspension needs to be able to do its job and absorb bumps, other wise you skip over the pavement and lose traction.....there is a fine balance, I prefer the stock IROCS around me b/c our roads are not to best and when i had the 2" drop springs it was too stiff and you would hit a bump in turns and lose traction b/c you would skip over the bump....the tires need to stay in contact with the road.

Yea, you probably need to change to a softer springs for a more tolerable ride. The bar's and bushing's will keep you flat, tire give you good grip. My ex hated to ride in my old '83 Mustang with the Rancho susp. especially when she was pregnant. had to change the springs.
