After I rotated my tires yesterday , now when I turn I have a noise which seems to be coming from the right rear . The best I can describe this noise is ; it sound like when you open or close your attack door with the springs in it , and you hear the springs popping , creaking and making noise .What is this guys ? Thanx .

 

It appears that your spring fell out of the can and is not seated right. It is possibly rubbing against the side of the can making a popping sound. If the springs are cut and the car is lowered, this can happen quite easily when you jack the car off the ground.

 

Thanx for the help . Would fixing this just be a matter of jacking the car back up and somehow bumping it back into place ?

 

yes . What you will have to look for is on the top of the spring area is the isolator pad (rubber piece). Now on this pad there is a notched or indented area where the end of the spring coil "seats" into, most peolpe don't bother looking for this when they put springs into cars, just rotate the spring until you feel the end of the coil fit snug into the indentured area, then pull you arms and legs out from under the car and lower the jack just until there is no wobble of the spring, then carefully climb back under and verify it stayed in position. If not then jack back up alittle and try again.

In my case, the car is lowered with very stiff springs. The stiffer the spring, the less it will relax when the car is jacked up and the spring will slightly fall out of the can. I'm actually in the process of converting to coilover shocks to eliminate this problem as weel as other more important benefits of coilovers. I am strengthening my upper & lower rear shock mount points however in order to do this to where I feel safety is not compromised.
