A side from going to a harder OE type pad, you'll have to live with it.
My Vette is horriable with brake dust. I have a set of those super brute stops or what ever, and I go through these things every year or so. The stoping power is awsome, but they wear super quik (ie brake dust) like a good set if soft tires.
It's a give take...Best stopping power = brake dust = HP Pads; Less stoping power = less brake dust = Stock or cheaper pads.

I'll live with the brake dust, before I put a set of mini-van pads on my car.

Been using Performance Friction Z-Rated pads for six months now with NO brake dust problem on my wheels.
IN fact no dust at all even after 1200 mile trip to Florida this past month.

Oh man, I probably would'nt have any brake dust either cruising down the interstate. I can probably go 3000 mile without an ounce of brake dust.
Let me correct my statement above...'Using the' Best stopping power = (snip snip)

I have yet to use a better all around pad for street and light track use that has a great sweet spot, long life, better initial bite, and very low dust than Stillens metal-matrix. They are on both of my street cars, and have been off and on for years in the mist of sometimes trying others-- I always go back to these.http://www.stillen.com/brakepros.asp

I too am using the PF Z-Rated and though the dust is present, it's not as bad as other brake pads I've had. I have also run the car with a set of Raybestos QuietStop pads. The cold stopping power was ok, but as the pads got hotter the stopping power diminished. The up side was there was NO dust.
