rack and pinion steering for third gen?

does anyone out there in chevy land know of anyone or a company that makes a kit for rack and pinion steering for third gen cars. A company called steeroids makes them for first and second gen cars, but not third. I have asked this question before, but all someone told me was to look at the icon at the top of this site. I did and nothing. Please help. Third gen steering is alright, but rack and pinion would kick ***. Thank you for your time.

I am also trying to find a poewr rack and pinion system, but so far nothing. One of the companies up top makes a manual rack for our cars, but i need power for a daily driver.

are you looking to convert to manual steering? all you have to do is a get a non-power steering box from an S-series truck and swap on the f-body pitman arm. not difficult as long as you can find a base model truck in your local yard.
other than that flaming river sells a very nice and very light pinto style rack, lightens your car by about 45lbs and lightens your wallet by about $750.

later

I started the conversion to the rack from a 98 SS camaro. I bought a new rack, u-joints, and hoses and had it shortened to fit a 3rd gen. I made a mounting bracket (which was close) and was making the improved mount, then my project was cancelled "wife". Now I have a pile of extra parts
