3rd gen Rear Drum to Disc Swap??

I am thinking of buying a rearend from a mid 80's trans am that has discs on it. My 89 rs has drums, so what do I need if anything to change this over.

Thanks.

you most likely need the parking brake cables, the rear end of coarse, and the proportioning valve from the master cyclinder..

How much of the parking cables will be needed?

I assume that you don't want to spend the extra cash on the late model discs. I am unfamiliar with the early model setup. Make sure that the cables connect in the same fasion that they do now. The later models have a Y bracket that each side connects to. Don't be surprised if you have to replace both of the calipers.. they are prone to crapping out.
