Does it have FE2? I'd venture to guess that you have the 36mm hollow front bar and 24mm rear solid.

Check your suspension RPO code and then run the numbers.

its an IROC, not a 1le or w6s,

chances are it is 34mm/23mm.

well yes, they will be very stiff.

you could also go to the 1le size bars 36/24

it doesn't sound like a big diffrence, but it is VERY noticable. also going to a good set of poly bushings will help it too.

also, if you are looking to tighten up the cars handling, new springs will really help that too, if you are still on your factory springs.

and of course, sticky tires make a HUGE diffrence in how well the car handles.

i have eibach sportlines in, in a few weeks i will be ordering spohn sfc, lca and relocator brackets, and panhard bar. im not driving the car over winter, so i probably wont get new tires till spring or summer, ive been looking at the bfgoodrich gforce t/a kd's.

just wondering if the spohn swaybars will help me at all or if mine are big enough?

well, they wont hurt

with the eibachs, and those sway bars, you are going to be ON RAILS.

CAREFULL

be carefull not to get too big of bars "I" have found the 34/24 combo for AUTOX works well or the 36/24 combo for road race works well...

BUT, it all depends on the rest of the combo, spring (eibachs are a good choise BUT pro-kit is better than sportline) shocks (koni, bilestein, etc.) SFC's, LCA's bushings, etc. etc. etc.

Some FE2's had the 36/24 combo. My IROC vert had em.

Bumpa,
Would you please qualify your assessment of the pro-kit springs being better than the sportlines.

Thanks.

I've got the 36mm up front and recently came across a massive 28mm (1 1/8") rear bar at the wreckers.

That rear bar is like a gift from the gods, I can finally oversteer on demand and it stays flat like I've never experienced before. I hunt corners down now.

The sportlines look better (more drop) but other than that, the Pro-kit will out perform them, I've tried both and pretty much every 3rd genner autoX'er I know RELY on the pro-kit... My current combo is Monroe front stuts (weak link) GM 34mm hollow sway bar, and pro-kit fronts... GM brand IROC replacement rear shocks, with 24 mm GM sway bar, and stock GM IROC springs rear... but my combo changes all the time, depending on events... especially the rear springs (stock, sportline, pro, v6)
