Which rollcage/bar would be better?

I'm doing a rollcage this winter and am gonna order a kit and customize it to fit my car. I got in photoshop and made a really bad rough draft to see which way would be stronger. I know the full cage would be but how much stronger? is it worth the bars in teh way and such? thanks

i'd recomend a Jegster from Jegs. i used their 8-point kit and am very please with it. look at the "roll cage" post in aftermarket product review for some of my pics.

ya that is kinda what I"m thinking but only make it 4 pt. so peopel can still ride in the back and it will be somewhat "hidden" thanks for the pictures. I think I'll go w/ that one.

Here's the Jeg's kit also, took 4 hrs to install from the time the chop saw fired up till the last coat of paint, I've done alot of welding/fabricating so that helped, but the kit is'nt too bad for the money. Bought the 8 point but only made it a 6.

Since you're only considering a 4 point without a cross bar so that people can ride in the back then the roll bar is cosmetic only. If the car ever runs 11's it won't be legal.

I have an S&W 8 point in my car. every bar had to be cut to length which surprised me b/c every bar end looked like it was plasma cut for a clean easy fit the way it was shipped. the bar is great but did take alot of work to get everything done. I have to agree w/the one guy above that a 4 point is cosmetic only. if you are going to strip your int to put this in you might just as well put in a min of 6 point w/the cross bar on the hoop behind the 2 front seats. be sure to have an angle grinder handy alog w/the wire feed.

IHI how did you weld the rear hatch bars to the hoop? it was a bit of a puta with my t-tops let alone w/a hardtop. not much room b/c of the roof.

It was a PITA for me too. I have my headliner out and left enought room to slide it back in, so there was a little room to get the gun up in there.

its not that care about people riding in the back, I just want a stock appering car. I'm not doing it for cosmetics at all, I want to stiffen the car mainly. what if I made a crossbar that ran along the floor? would that be legal then? thanks
