Big Difference between 90/10 and 70/30

I did a search, but I need to know how big of a difference there is between the 90/10 and 70/30 struts. How much better would the 90/10s be at the track? Also how much better would 70/30s be on the street? I can't decide between the two.

A strip only car should use 90/10 or Koni SPA1. If you drive on the street at all then use 70/30.

Stephen thats what I have been told about running 70/30s if I drive on the street. My question is at the track, how much better will the 90/10s be? I need traction, but I do drive it on the street every now and then.

dude, 90/10's are drivable on the street. No they don't handle real great for everyday cruising, but you'll get use to it. To me they're no worse than a set of wore out shocks.

I ran for a couple of years with stock shocks and struts and had traction. If you don't have traction then buy some slicks first before doing suspension changes.

90/10's allow the front end to rise which allows better weight transfer. If you don't have a lot of torque to pull the front end up then "drag struts" are an expensive option that won't help especially if you have no traction. You need traction to pull that front end up first.

That's why I use Koni SPA1 shocks and struts. They're adjustable and will react to different conditions. If I have poor traction, they won't let the front rise as much.

Thanks for the help, slicks are going to be bought before the suspension. I'm just trying to gather some info. As far as slicks, I am looking at M/T E.T. street slicks or a set of "full race slicks". These will be for the track, but also for some occasional fun on the street. Which do you guys recommend? I know full slicks are illegal on the street, but how well do they hook when they are not warmed up? Thanks
