Will it fit?

This really has nothing to do with this section but i figured this would be the best place to post...i was given 4 iroc wheels, 16x8's from an '88, for my '90 rs, but all 4 wheels are marked 'rear', no fronts, how would i make two of them fit the front without hitting the control arm? Is this at all possible? Thanks for anyone's help, greatly appreciated! -Kip

Your gonna need spacers. I had a 1/4" spacer and it pushed out hte rear rims enough to not scratch anything in the front. Though it looks alittle stupid cause the tire is more in then the rear. Also it didnt seem to safe cause the amount of stud that the lug nut went onto was very small. I fear that if you push it its gonna come loose or bend/break your studs.

trade or sell the 2 worst shape wheels and get the correct rims..cause of the small stud grip...dont even bother trying to put them on you'll probably regret it

I've run my car like this for years with four rear '87 iroc rims and 1/4" spacers up front. Yes you do have to be concerned about the amount of thread bite on the stock front studs. Years ago before I decided to purchase these rims, I checked into longer studs. I searched high and low for long metric studs and finally found some from a hole-in-the-wall auto parts store. They were 1/4" longer than the stock ones and I bought his entire inventory- He had about 30 of them. I change them after about 10 uses just to keep the threads fresh and have never had a problem. I have about 6 full turns with the lugnuts when I put the wheels on. I am now out of them but I concidering going to OEM look 17" aftermarket Iroc rims so I can mount BFG G-force tires(They don't make 'em for 16" rims.)This will solve my wheel-stud problems.

Update- I did some checking on the internet and come up with two different sources for longer wheelstuds. Both Moser and ARP now offer 12mm, .505 knurl press in wheelstuds in both 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" lengths. You can buy them both through Summit:

Moser 1 1/2" 12mm studs http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=34670

Moser 2 1/2" 12mm studs http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=34671

ARP 2 1/2" 12mm studs http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=25139
