front sway bar

Have a question about the front sway bar. How important is it to run the car with the front sway bar? Without using the front sway bar do you run into major handling problems, or is there no difference with or without the sway bar? Currently, rebuilding an 87 Z28 the guy helping me with the rebuild drag races mustangs for the renegade NMRA series. He believes i do not need the front sway bar, but he is mainly thinking from a racing view. This car will go to the track to get the best E.T. However, the car will mainly be driven around town. I will on occasion drive the car hard to have some fun. Just want to see what other people think about using or not using the front sway bar.

Thanks,

Chad

for street driving, i would say run with the sway bar on. you handleing will suffer from taking it off.

if you are just going down the 1320, and then turning around, you could leave it off.

If you are street driving it "I" would run a sway bar without one handling will be affected.... just undo the endlinks at the 1/4 track

Keep the sway bar for the street... will make for a "wishy-washy" ride, just remove drivers side end link at the track and replace for ride home.
