Why do I have to push the brake pedal so far before it will stop?

I have put new shoes in the rear, and the pads on the front are fine. I've replaced both front brake lines and have put on a new master cylinder a couple years ago. I'm already thinking about when I get the car back out of storage in March, and I want to fix the brakes when I get it out. I have to push the pedal almost to the floor before the brakes really start to grab, but the car has no problem stopping. I can stop really fast, I just have to push the pedal a long way, and it just doesn't feel right. I've checked several times and the lines are well bled. I'm thinking on having the rotors turned and getting new calipers. Auto Zone sells remans for $10.00. I figure maybe the rotors have a little runout or the pistons are sticking in the calipers. Does it sound like I'm on the right track, or am I missing something obvious?

Thanks,

Eric

Assuming that your lines and master cylinder are "well bled",
I would check the adjustment of the rear brakes.

I changed the brake hoses about a year and a half ago. The fluid level is fine and they are bled. I'm liking the idea about adjusting the rear brakes. I've checked it before, but maybe I'm doing it incorrectly. What is the proper way to adjust the rear drum brakes?
