v6 lowering
v6 lowering
i own a 90 camaro 3.1 v6 and i was wanting to lower the car about 1-2 in but i dont know if the v8 lowering springs will do any thing or is there a v6 kit i havent found yet? if not i also want to replace my rear sway bar bushings bc they have rotted away how hard is that and is there a big improvment?> thanks for you imput!!

as for the drop springs I dont know of any company that makes for the V6. If you use the V8 springs I dont know if it till atcually drop your car. It may even raise it. Cause the spring rate will be alot more then the V6 version.
As for the bushing its pretty easy to replace. All you gotta do is take off the rear sway bar slide off the bushings and then slide on the new ones. Pretty simple and easy. And you'll notice a difference especially if your current one is destroyed.

They are out there, they just don't advertise them because the market is much smaller for v6 than v8. I'm almost positive that eibach makes a couple of types for the v6 cars. Just call summit or jegs and tell that what you need.

My brother just told me that Les Schaub will lower a v6 for about $500. It includes springs, installation, and re-alignment. So if you have one near you, check there. At the very least they could tell you who they use.
