Manual brakes
I would like to convert my 82 to manual brakes. I have VERY little vacuum with my motor and I'm not sure that the canister I bought is going to help. I was told I could go to auto zone and buy a S10 master cylinder and PPV and bolt it right up. The S 10 manual steering box bolted right up, but what about the MC?

The S-10 master cylinder doesn't bolt to the brake booster. If you look under the hood of an S-10 with manual brakes, the master cylinder bolts to the firewall. There's more to converting to manual brakes than just installing a different master cylinder. There are a couple of picture on my web site of my conversion.
If your engine doesn't produce enough vacuum for the brake booster, the options are to install a vacuum canister or an electric vacuum pump like the one used on early 80's Cavaliers with 4 cylinder engines. These cars didn't produce enough vacuum for power brakes so GM installed an electric vacuum pump.
