no they are not "needed" but they will help straight line traction. for cornering you want the lca parrellel with the ground, so if the axle housing side of your lca is higher right now, you will want brackets.

A tubular LCA helps traction by not flexing all over the place when the rear end tries to push the car. Stock LCAs are very weak, they bend enough to allow their length to change, and add an extra "apring" sort of thing that absorbs, stores, and releases energy unpredictably, even though it's only supposed to transmit it.

IMHO on a street car, really the only reason to get adj. bars from spohn is if you want something other than poly/poly.

For a street car I would not get adjustable bars; not that it would hurt, it's just not necessary. It's a race tuning thing, changes the car's wheelbase.
I have the Lakewod ones, they work fine.
Now if I was going for 1.45 60' times..... it would be a different story.

I got adjustable LCAs but I figured it was a good idea if I ever wanted to change from 16 inch rims to 15s and lower the car. Just so I can adjust them if I had too. I had the SFCs, lcas, and brackets done all at once and saw a vast improvement it was actually making my 350 tpi bog off the line if I mashed it. Then I threw on the 2400 9.5 inch stall.
