Cheapest place for upper strut mounts?
Just wondering if anyone knows of some super deal place that's got the upper strut mounts cheap (and by a decent name, too). Gotta replace both of mine (along with everything else that connects the front tires to the car!) this summer. How are the prices at http://www.gmpartsdirect.com ? Anyone got part #s for me? Thanks!!

Spohn offers them and so does Tire Rack, that's all I know of the aftermarket offerings.
I'll sell you my HMS custom mounts.... I'm only asking $600.

Summit has KYB strut mounts for $59.95. The part numbers are sm5028 and sm5027, I believe. Add kyb- in front for Summit's stock number. I can double-check those numbers if necessary. This is a good option if you are already ordering something from Summit.
Shox.com will beat that price, but shipping from CA is expensive. I purchased mine from Shox.com since I was buying shocks/struts at the same time.

I found 2 part numbers from rockauto.com for the OEM strut mounts.
right: 14106736 and 14080730
left: 10136865 and 14080729
All are listed as MOUNT for 55.xx except for 14080729 which gmpartsdirect could not find. Im probably going to call a GM dealer to verify these number, because i would save some money over the Moog replacement mounts.

i just called the local GM dealer:
right mount : 14106736
left mount : 10136865
$133.34 shipped from www.gmpartsdirect.com , that is $30.68 cheaper than Moog mount without shipping.
What would you guys do, get the GM parts of the Moog ones?

Thanks for all the info guys! And thanks vjo90RS8 for digging up the GM numbers!
Oh and while those offers of $600 and $590 for the HMS mounts do sound very tempting, please remember that this is only a V6 car!!!
There's no need for these super suspension pieces on a V6! A v8, definately... but that's just my opinion!

LOL, yeah, people don't understand that about me... they think I'm anti-v8, or only know about v6's, or want my v6 to run 13's in the 1/4 mile. They couldn't be more wrong! I'm realistic with what I expect out of the motor. The "future" project car, when the fiance and I get married, and we're out of college, will be a v8 f-body. THAT's the one that will get all the tricks.
