is it an LCA that im thinking about?

im having such a brain fart right now.. its horrible. basically im trying to remember the name of the part that connects the (front) wheel(s) to the rest of the front suspention.

i was getting my front end aligned at a friends house and he noticed that some part on the lower part of *this damn part* may be bent a little (from my run in with a curb). it looks liek an upside down "A". i was to saw its a lower control arm.. but im not sure. ill have to take a pic or find 1 on the net...
