hello, i am puttin a 4th gen rearend, in my thirdgen, the rearend is complete except for the brake setup, its just the rear with the 4 bolts at the end of the axels, will my 3rd gen brake drums, and internal guts bolt up just fine.

 

What year rearend did your thirdgen brakes come off? If it was an early rear, I seem to recall something being different about the rear drums. If they came off a later thirdgen rear, then I would guess that they should bolt up fine. You'll prolly need to re-use your thirdgen brake lines though, might take a little bending for the additional 2" per side.

 

well the 4th gen is off of a 97, and the 3rd gen is off of an 87, thanks, and i will be selling the thirdgen if anybody wants it thaks dan
