spherical rod ended??

What am I gaining and loosing going from Pollyurthane to spherical rod ended bushings? I am redoing my suspension and I noticed that on spohn's site. Thanks. Oh and if I don't have adjustable LCA's is that gonna effect anything if I lower my car 1.25"? Cause I have the adj. panhard bar, relocation brackets and I am gonna have adj. torque arm too but I just have 50/50 Lakewood pollyurthane LCA's, non adjustable. Thanks

Spherical Rod Ended bushings will have less flex and binding than Poly bushings. The tradeoff is that the ride becomes harsher and road noise increases. It is recommended for race applications. Poly is recommended for street use.

I just installed my new panhard bar I made with rod ends last saturday. I've got a flowmaster cat back and wasn't sure if I would get more road noise or not. But with my fairly loud flowmaster, I can't tell any difference in road noise. I am able to hear a loud clunking noise when cornering hard over the uneven surface of the area we run our events while running race tires. The solid ends transfer the noise to the car pretty badly, but in normal driving I can't hear or feel any difference at all. But the car did seem more stable to me with the new bar and solid rod ends.

Next I'm putting on LCA relocation brackets and going to make some adjustable LCA's with rod ends. I own a machine shop and I can make stuff like this for a fraction of the retail cost. And if I don't like the solid end LCA's it's an easy swap back to the stockers.

Anyway just my .02 worth.

Spherical ends also wear out. On a daily driver, they should be changed every few years.

eric...go with poly. as long as you keep them lubed up (which i know you will, right buddy? ) you'll be fine.

i got the LCAs and panhard rod with all poly...but went with a spherical rod end on my torque arm.

Thats what I had for my line up was all polly expect my torque arm was gonna have spherical rod ends. For the extra 15 bucks I thought it might be worth it.

And yes, I keep her lubed. You know what I'm talkin about. :lala:

those springs you really won't have to do much adjustment, you shouldn't even really need the relocation brackets.

even the panhard shouldn't have to be adjusted much unless your rear is off to one side.

drop down to 2" or more though and you'll definately want the relocation brackets and 2 way adjustable lca's and panhard.
