Transmission: 700R4
swapping disk onto 85' 10 bolt
I am switching rearends from my busted BW 9 bolt to my 10 bolt from my wrecked 85' Iroc. The 10 bolt has drums, and I want to swap my disks over from the 9 bolt, I know that the backing plates dont have the same mounting holes, so can i just drill and tap the metal plate on the 85' where the disk backing plate should bolt on?
Anyone done this? is it possible?
