Swaybar/spring combinations.. can anyone enlighten me?
I've read about spring/swaybar combos and how you can run "more spring and less bar" or "more bar and less spring" and I have a question. What happens when you get good springs AND big swaybars? I have the eibach pro-kit and I was planning on getting spohn swaybars. Would they be too much or what? I have been looking at the TDS 36/24 ones too since they're so much cheaper.

You need big bars period to make a loaded street car handle well. Loaded meaning all the creature comforts and weight associated with luxury that a race car does not have in the upper body area- street cars have much more roll weight that needs to be controlled. Strip the car down to minimal roadrace weight and you can reduce the bar size.
If you run smaller bars on a street car and stiffen things with mainly springs, you will ride very rough (remember street roads are not as flat or smooth as race tracks- no drainage ditches and manhole covers etc.. in the road to worry about on a track. You'd often leave this car in the garage for a hot date or she will never go out with you again because of the bone jarring experience
I would not consider Eibach pro spring kits to be high rate race springs, they are performance sport street springs and big bars with them are fine.

Exactly, nicly put. Reminds me of years ago when I had a stang with Rancho springs, adj sway bars, Koni's. It was great. I didn't notice any rough ride until someone else got in the car. Pregnant wife didn't seem to appreciate it like I did either for some reason. So I had to make a few changes and went with the Motorsport set up. So you do need to consider who else will be riding with you.
