its pulling hard

my 88 Iroc is pulling really hard to the right in either a soft or hard stop, i am realy fighting it. i was told it is the caipers, but they are new off my old camaro that was totaled after a brake job as well as the front pads. after i drove it today the front brakes smelled like they were burning, i took it a shop, and he told me it was the calipers or the brakes lines, i want to know how hard is it to replace the brake line, i know i have to bleedthe system, but i want to know how time consumin it isto replace and what is a good brand to go with. i have 4 wheel disc brake if it matters, thanks for any info

As long as the coupling of your brake line isn't crusted/rusted together, the lines are pretty easy to change. I'm sure a search on Yahoo or here would turn up a good "how to." I've changed the brake lines on other cars just with hand tools in the driveway.

It is just the Flex hose that is most likely causing the problem..They are not that hard to install realy, you just need to know how to bleed the brakes properly. But it may be the calipers, or the sliders are seizing up on you... Make sure to spray all nut and bolts very well with penetraing oil exspecaily the bleeder screws...

I agree it is probably the flexible rubber hoses that go to the calipers. As these hoses get older they collapse under pressure causing the pulling you are describing.

I'd replace the rubber hoses on your front brakes. They are real easy to replace.
