Anything can fit with enough money. In fact, Fatal88 did it, but he changed the entire engine bay out to fit w/ the 4th gen strut mounts etc. Its basically an entire 4th gen mounted on the front of a thirdgen.

This is kind of sad becuase all reports indicate that the thirdgen front suspention is actually better than the 4th. Not sure why though.

The fourth gen front suspension uses shocks instead of struts. This was done in order to get a better ride quality. This is a lot of what hurts the handling. I have heard that the fourthgens have a slower steering ratio, but dont know that thats true. I know that I turned the wheel from lock to lock on a 93 z28 that my cousin bought for the drivetrain and it took 2.25 turns which is what the quick ratio thirdgens do.

Does anybody ever crawl under the car and look at anything anymore? The 4th gens are equipped with factory coil-overs and upper control arms which give:

1. Better ride quality

2. Stiffer wheel rate

3. Gains in negative camber under compression (body roll)

4. INCREASED CORNERING ABILITY.

4th gen front suspension is superior. That is not to say the 3rd gen cannot be made to compete, but when you go to modding, 4th gen will give you better results.
