Any ideas on how to fab up a bracket for a torque arm?
I don't have the money to buy an aftermarket TA, and the current one has ripped out of the tranny twice. I'd like to mount it to the crossmember somehow. Has anybody done this or does anybody have any designs or ideas.
i'd use a piece of 3/16x3 MS and weld a angle clip to it, weld the "bracket" to the floor pan and bolt the TA bushing to the clip. not sure if you can move the factory TA to a floor mount or not, i doubt it.

What does the 3/16x3 MS stand for? I thought about relocating it to the floor pan somewhere, but was worried about how to maintain the proper pinion angle that the torque arm is supposed to be on. Is there a specific angle for the torque arm to be?

Check this out its only for 4th gens by yank converters but should give you some ideas.Im thinking of making someting similar so the stock torque arm will be adjustable.
