KYB Shocks & Struts

I was thinking of installing new shocks and struts. I see a lot of people like the KYB that cannot afford the better more expensive KONIs and Bilsteins. I was thinking of going with the KYB GR2 up front and the Gas adjust shocks in the back. Or is it better to go with GR2 all the way around? I have checked out the price on the AGX but i will be looking into those too. I would assume the AGX is the best way to go (funds permitting of course. But it looks lit the gr2 all the way around or the gr2/gas adjust shocks. What are your opinions?

If you've got ws6 then its STILL gonna be a rough ride. I actually think the KYB's are stiffer than stock ws6.

I love mine though, they never let go of the road.

I have the gr2s up front and out back. They are pretty good for the money. Gave me bad wheelhop after installing tho. New tires (goood tires) fixed the wheel hop. The gr2 struts raised my car ALOT lol.

Im getting springs eventually. Im sure Ill notice a big difference then to.

I recommend the gr2 kybs to anyone tho. Great shocks/stuts for the money.

Just installed GR2's up front with gas adjusts in the rear in my 87 GTA today. All the struts/shocks were the stock WS6's which were spent. I felt an immediate difference (for the better) on potholes and the usual **** you find on NYC streets. Could'nt really put them to the test though because of the rainy weather we're having - but I WILL put them to the test the first dry day. Wish me luck.

I had the same problem 70 formula, all four corners were shot to hell and not worth anything. So for me, the change to the GR2 struts and Gas-A-Just shocks was a HUGE difference.

I really like my kyb setup (gr2 front gas-a-just rear).. Much better than stock, handles great (along with my other suspension upgrades)

I used to have GR2 all the way around but I ran into a problem with wheel hop that. I found out when I replaced them, was due to the rear shocks wearing out after only one year?!? But I replaced the GR2s out back with Gas-A-Just and I'm very happy now, reduced hop and an improved ride!

I have Gr2's all the way around with ProActive springs (I think, its been a year). They ride really nice, but I still need more dampening. If you have the stock springs they work great! Nice dampening with enough give for a nice cruising ride.

My ride is MUCH better now! The gas adjusts are great! From what I've been told - are much better than GR2's as far as the shocks are concerned. And for only $28 bucks apiece from Summit and the 30 minutes it took to install - entirely worth it.

I think I'll be able to keep the fillings in my teeth for a few more years now.

After doing the shocks/struts and feeling a very positive difference - I think I'm turning into a suspension junkie, cause now I'm thinking about doing SFC's and a strut tower brace. I think I'm gonna go with the Spohns and Hotchkis and maybe an aftermarket wonder bar for the hell of it. Anyone know where I can pick up the Hotchkis STB for cheap?

Immediate project in two weeks - worked 383 swap.

GR2's in the front and Gas A Adjust in the rear on my 91 GTA and my 91 Formula , I like 'em :-)

If u cant afford the Koni,Bilstein etc, then KYB is your best friend, for $$$ vs. performance u cant beat them
