Lazy steering
My '87 IROC has really lazy steering. It will seem like it'll just go where it wants, when it wants. You almost have to fight to keep it going straight sometimes.
It feels like the wheel and the steering wheel just "lose" connection for a second. I know I'm probably describing this poorly, but hopefully someone gets the idea.
Any idea? I just put new tires on as well...

steering arm
my 87 camaro did this too. i replaced the steering arm and the idler arm and it fixed it. also did you get an alignment w/ your new tires? if not that would be why it goes where it wants. basically if i were you i would check your front end. tie rods and all of that stuff. good luck.
The steering arm that just a peice of metal that connects to the steering box and the center link how did that help?? unless maybe the holes wore out dunno.Do u mean u replaced the steering box?

Pitman arm is a no-wear item--it can't wear out, it has no joints. Centerlink and Idler arm are a couple of good places to start looking. Could also be some wear in the steering box or the rag joint. Basicly, have the front suspension checked out, and replace everything that is worn. I would skip buying a 'kit' unless most of the parts are worn. A good alignment can do wonders for steering 'feel'.
