Rear end thumping
I need some help with a noise comming from my rear end it only happens when I accelerate hard it feels like the rear end or the torque arm is just hitting the bottom of the car. I tore in my suspension and it was pretty toast sagging springs and my sway bar bushings wern't there literally the sway bar was held up with a coat hanger on both sides (just bought the car 6 months ago)... Anyway I put new springs, shocks and sway bar bushings on it, and it seems a little bit better but I still get the thud when I punch it hard, I had a friend sit in the passanger seat and he said it felt like it was hitting right next to him in the driveshaft well. Someone said it might be a bad trans mount. Anyone?

Trans mount. They always break. It's not a question of "if" it breaks, merely a matter of "when".
Get a polyurethane one such as Energy Suspension or Prothane.

yeah i would say trans mount.
it could possibly be the tq arm mount, but it sounds more like a trans mount that the tq arm.

How bad is that? I mean is it something I could do in my driveway in an hour or so by replaceing the mount or is it something like that I'd have to find a new crossmember or weld it up or something. Also assuming its just the bushing what would you guys recomend?

it is actualy a very nice little upgrade, you'll be pleased
it is very easy to do, jack up the car on jack stands, put a jack under the tranny to support it, unbolt the crossmember, and the mount. reassamble.
