Im looking into getting the kit with the lift bars, subframes and driveshaft loop, does anyone have it or know anyone who does and what do they think? Is there anything better out there for drag?

I have it, and the results are FREAK NASTY launches on slicks, with the lift bars and mickey t's, i pulled a 1.68 60' time with stock springs and worn out shocks and struts,

the only better setup than this would be a true 4-link, as this is sort of a pseudo 4-link.....its far superior to a torque arm

if you can handle the rough ride and do the welding and fab work yourself i highly recommend it.....dont expect a 10 bolt rear to hold long launching like that though ....heres some pics...

What exactly do you have to fabricate? Would they work fine with my drag springs and shocks/struts? All I have right now are boxed stockers and I know I can do way better. Right now, I am cutting a 1.78 60ft on 28x10.5 slicks, what do you think I can expect with those?

well first you need to weld the subframe connectors that are part of the kit in, which usually requires some repair on the front most part of the rocker sill.....then you need to mock up the lift bar and crossmember under the car and mate it to the rear axle and to the subframes.....you need to measure everything many times to make sure its perfectly straight....then you have to tack it all in place.

the easiest way to do it is to then remove the rear-end, and secure the reinforcement straps over the axle tubes. Then you can finish weld the bars onto the axle tubes, and weld and gusset the crossmember to the subframes

I dont think you understand what this setup is.....

its not a replacement for your lower control arms, its a replacement for the torque arm system, changing the rear end into a 4 link. If you use this setup i would highly recommend using strong aftermarket lower control arms, you would probably bend even boxed stock ones with the lift bars.

I dont know the gain exactly because i never ran the car without them
